Lessons in the studio will include learning theory through hands-on creative games and off-the-bench activities that aid retention and allow students to “play out” their knowledge.
Specific practice strategies are shared to help practice be more efficient and structured in ways the brain (and the student!) loves. These strategies include games, understanding how the brain learns, techniques that make practice interesting, and practice pouches that include helpful tools.
In-studio lessons take place at the Keys 4 Life Studio in Monument, Colorado.
Online Lessons
Students of all ages love the feel of online lessons! We laugh and talk just as if we were in the same room.
Enjoy the privacy, comfort, and convenience of studying piano in their your own home.
Students can see the teacher’s posture, technique, notes played, and examples from multiple camera views. Music whiteboards and software are also used to help give students a clear understanding of what they are learning.
All lessons are recorded and shared with the student, so students can rewatch the lesson as many times as they want. Online piano lessons are a great options for both kids and adults from beginner to experienced.
Online lessons offered via FaceTime or Muze provide convenience, quality, and flexibility.

Most piano teachers hand you a method book and start on page one regardless of who you are, what you love, or why you want to play. Diana starts with a conversation. Where do you want to go? Then she builds the path to get you there.
Piano Skills Track
Best for Beginners and Returning Students
Learn to read music, build a real theory foundation, and compose. The complete piano education, built around music you enjoy and actually want to play, not just what the book says is next.
Improvise & Create Track
Best for Non-readers and Intermediate Students
This track is for students who either already read music, want a different pathway, or have never thought they could improvise. It’s also for students who don’t love only reading music on the page and would love a way to play that isn’t so tied to the sheet music. You will use chord charts, lead sheets, mixed with freedom to experiment.
Church Skills Track
Best for Worship Musicians and Church Pianists
The only track of its kind offered by a local studio. Choose from hymns, contemporary worship, traditionals, and spirituals. Chord progressions, modulations, fill-ins, thinking in the key you are in and what it means to be a pianist in a worship band are covered. If you want to confidently serve your congregation or you want to be able to play your favorite worship songs just for yourself, this track is for you!

Meet DianaFrequently Asked Questions
Younger students are generally in 30 minute lessons. Adults and more advanced students can choose 45 or 60 minutes as their music calls for it. We pick the right length together at your meet and greet.
If a student misses, I create a video lesson they can watch. Students are welcome to message me with questions or send a video of them playing to evaluate so their progress continues. If I miss, we reschedule or I offer a credit.
Tuition is averaged into 11 monthly payments across the studio year, and materials are included. A 30 minute lesson is $110.00 a month, 45 minutes is $165.00, and 60 minutes is $220.00. Holidays and studio breaks are already deducted, so the amount stays the same every month, and August is a sabbatical month with no tuition due.
It varies by student, which is the whole point. Every curriculum I choose still covers the core musical categories: technique, rhythm, theory, sight reading, improvisation, and composition. There is no cookie cutter, one size fits all regimen here.
